Founded in 1993 by the Grace Community Church, The Academy has a rich history of dedication to education and community. What began as a vision has now evolved into a thriving institution. With unwavering commitment, we’ve grown to encompass a team of over 50 dedicated staff members and a vibrant community of more than 500 eager learners. Our journey is marked by a steadfast pursuit of excellence and a genuine passion for shaping bright futures.

Registration

The Academy stands as a beacon of legitimacy and quality in education. We hold the distinction of being registered as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO), a testament to our commitment to serving our community. Furthermore, our recognition extends to being fully registered with the Department of Education (DoE) as an authorised examination center.

Our dedication to providing excellence has earned us accreditation from Umalusi, underscoring our position as an Independent Provider of exceptional education. Moreover, our affiliations with esteemed organisations such as the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) reflect our commitment to nurturing both academic and ethical growth in our students.

CURRICULUM

Our educational foundation is firmly rooted in the National Curriculum, specifically the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS). This comprehensive framework guides our approach to education, ensuring a well-rounded learning journey from Grade R (6 years) up to Grade 12.

What sets us apart is our dedication to fostering a holistic education within a fully Christian environment. Biblical integration is at the core of our teaching philosophy, infusing lessons with values and perspectives that inspire character development and ethical growth.

To ensure personalized attention and effective learning, we maintain a teacher-pupil ratio of 1:25 in the Junior School and 1:20 in the Senior School. This approach empowers us to create engaging classrooms where students receive the guidance and support they need to excel academically and flourish as individuals.

Mtuba Christian Academy offers a warm and loving Christian evironment. Our smaller class groups enable us to meet the individual needs of each learner as we stive to attain our vision of Quality Christian Education and to present our community and to the worls, a model of a citizen.

MCA has produced 100% matric pass rate since 2013, making us the best school in Mtubatuba and in the Umkhanyakude District.

In 2018, we celebrated 25 years of providing Quality Christian Education in Mtubatuba and surrounding areas.

Destiny pre-school is our feeder pre-school. They are an English Home Language pre-school and they are on the same premises as MCA. The cater for Grades RRR and RR (3 year and 4 year olds.
